Nigerian Army University Biu staff got vaccinated against Covid-19 pandemic today, 5th July, 2021 in collaboration with Biu Local Government Maternity Health Center. The Medical Director Nigerian Army University Biu, Maj Gen RN Nkado (Rtd) on behalf of the university partnered with Biu Local Government Centre for Covid-19 to vaccinate staff that are willing to take the vaccine.
Maj Gen Nkado (Rtd) said that a large number of NAUB Staff signed up for the vaccine, among those vaccinated were the Director of Works, Brig Gen OJ Ariyo (Rtd), academic and non-academic staff.
Aishatu Adamu, a vaccinator explained that the type of vaccine given is known as AstraZeneca which has minimal or no effect on those vaccinated. She explained further that Covid-19 Vaccination Card was given as proof. Those vaccinated are expected to take their second dose on 3rd September 2021 at Biu Local Government vaccination Centre.
Maj Gen Nkado appreciated Biu Local Government Centre for the Covid-19 vaccination for their collaboration and the NAUB staff for the turn out.
