NAUB ADMISSION LIST FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform the general public, especially those that applied for admission into various undergraduate programmes in the Nigerian Army University Biu, that the Admission list for 2023/2024 academic session has been released. All the applicants that participated in the post UTME/DE online screening are advised to check the Admission list on the University website for their status.

Successful candidates are to accept the Admission and print out their Admission letters on the JAMB portal.

Registration of fresh students will commence on the 3rd of April, 2023 and end on 22nd of April, 2023 including one-week late registration. Admitted candidates are to download the approved Academic Calendar for 2023/2024 session and Undergraduate Fees Schedule for information.

Admission into the IJMB programmes for 2023/2024 is open to the general public. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into the one-year programmes (IJMB Arts and Science).

ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATES:

  1. To gain Admission into the NAUB IJMB programmes, candidates must have obtained at least five (5) credits in O-levels including Mathematics and English in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent in not more than (2) sittings.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

  1. Visit the University link at www.naub.edu.ng OR www.predegree.naub.edu.ng
  2. Click on APPLY FOR IJMB.
  3. Select Application Type
  4. Create a User Account (New user).
  5. Select your programme type
  6. Select choice of 3 subject combination.
  7. Click “Select Payment Option” button to make your payment of N5000
  8. Select your ATM Card type (e.g Master, Visa or Verve Card) and click “Make Payment”.
  9. Only candidates whose payment has been successful will be redirected to fill the form.
  10. Click on “CONTINUE FILLING FORM”
  11. Scan and upload original copies of your O’ Level Credentials: recent passport photograph.
  12. Make sure to submit your application when completed. (NOTE that you cannot edit your application after submission and any incorrect information will attract a charge of N1,000 to edit and correct)
  13. These exercises must be completed latest 31st May, 2023.

NAUB GETS NEW REGISTRAR

The Pro Councilor and Chairman of the Council, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen F Yahaya approve the appointment of Brig Gen HY Abdulhamid as the third new substantive registrar of the Nigerian Army University Biu.

By his appointment, he succeeds the second registrar and the pioneer Director of Academic Planning of the University Maj Gen SS Ibrahim who is newly promoted to the rank of major general in early December 2022 and posted to the Nigerian Army College of Education as provost of the college.

The substantive registrar Gen Abdulhamid at the symbolic handing over on the 1st of February, 2023 commended his predecessor Maj Gen SS Ibrahim, and promise to build on his legacy. He said; as the Registrar at this level, I will give in my best to produce high-quality human beings in both learning and character. Urging all the registry staff to be persevering, and ready to give the best of whatever is required of them. Have confidence in your colleagues, restrict negativity of information, and always set for the positive, ensuring damage control, he called.

The former registrar Maj Gen SS Ibrahim earlier is his remark appreciates Allah (swt), the COAS, the vice-chancellors he served under from inception to date also all the registry staff that served under him. The successes he recorded as the second registrar were all possible with the support of the registry staff and guidance from his chief executives the Vice-Chancellor he worked under. From the first, Prof David Iliya Malgwi, Prof Fatimah Tahir in the acting capacity to the current Vice-chancellor Prof Kyari Mohammed.

After the symbolic handing over, the substantive registrar and the outgone registrar had an interface with all the senior registry staff to interact and get to know one another.

GENERAL BURATAI LAUDS VC ARMY VARSITY BIU FOR TRANSFORMING THE UNIVERSITY
The former Chief of Army Staff, His Excellency Ambassador Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) CFR, has commended the efforts of the Vice Chancellor of Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) Professor Kyari Muhammad for upgrading, uplifting the institutions to the best standard and enhancing the welfare of the staffs.
Buratai made the commendation as the special guest of honour during a reception organized in honour of the departing university registrar Major General SS Ibrahim who was promoted and posted to become the provost of, the Army College of Education, and also for the promotion of Colonel B Sarki to the rank of Brigadier General. The event took place on Wednesday, 11 Jan 2023. He congratulated the newly promoted officer and also urged them to do more.
In his remark, the VC appreciate the efforts and concern of Buratai towards the university, he assured that the management of the university would do anything possible to uplift the value of the university to be the best among its peer in the country and world at large, he urged this newly promoted officer to put in their best anywhere they find themselves.
Replying on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Major Gen SS Ibrahim says he has learned a lot serving under the VC, “If you work with my VC you can work with anyone in the world, the good the bad and the ugly once you are committed and has passion for the Job”

NAUB DECORATES TWO NEWLY PROMOTED SENIOR OFFICERS AND SEVENTEEN SOLDIER'S

On Friday 28th October 2022, the Vice Chancellor Nigerian Army University Biu Professor Kyari Mohammed, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Military Major General SZ Kazaure, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Professor Fatima Tahir The chief University Librarian Major General MM Bumza, Registrar Brigadier, General SS Ibrahim, Director Academic Planning Brigadier General PC Obilor, Deen Faculty of Environmental Sciences Brigadier General AW Butu and other very senior officers of the University both serving and retired, decorated two senior officers newly promoted from Major to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and seventeen soldiers to the various ranks in the Army with their new badges of rank. The newly promoted senior officers were Lietenant Colonel JG Usman The Acting Commanding Officer Nigerian Army University Biu Admin Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel AA Mohammed. The families and friends of the newly promoted officer’s and soldier's assisted in the decoration.

The Chief Host who is the University DVC Military Maj Gen SZ Kazaure in his opening remarks welcomed everyone to the ceremony adding that the promotion of the officers and soldiers was based on their professionalism, excellence, and hardwork. Maj Gen Kazaure disclosed that the promotion was guided by principles of seniority, merit, and discipline. "Decorated officers and soldiers are capable of executing responsibilities that accrues to their new ranks", he added that to justify the confidence reposed on them by the Chief of Army Staff. The DVC Military also appreciate the Chief of Army Staff for his untiring support to this institution.

In advise to the newly promoted officers and soldiers by Brig Gen AW Butu stressed the importance and the implication of the new ranks going forward saying that "the reward for good work is more work." He called on the newly promoted soldiers to take care of their families.

The decoration ceremony was graced by the representative of the Emir of Biu, Commanding Officer 231 Tank Battalion and 331 Artillery Regiment Biu along side with other security agencies.

In his remark, the Emir of Biu HRH Alhaji Mustapha Umar Mustapha II CON, ably represented by the Betara of Biu Col Bashir Betara (Rtd) appreciated the VC for the invitation and congratulated the newly promoted officers and soldiers. He went on to call on the newly promoted officers and soldiers to be loyal to the Nation at all times. He went further and made a presentation to the newly decorated senior officers.

The Special Guest of Honour University Vice Chancellor Professor Kyari Mohammed. In his closing remarks, congratulated the newly promoted officers and soldiers. "These officers and soldiers being decorated today are part of the success story of the university. He also appreciated the Emir for his unflinching support to Nigerian Army University Biu.

NOTICE OF POST-UTME/DE SCREENING FOR ADMISSION INTO NIGERIAN ARMY UNIVERSITY BIU FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all UTME/DE candidates who chose Nigerian Army University Biu as First Choice for 2023/2024 for admission and have a score of 170 and above in the 2022 UTME that they are required to register online for Post-UTME/DE screening exercise from Monday 31st October to Friday 18th November, 2022.

To register, candidates are to visit Nigerian Army University Biu website via www.naub.edu.ng and click 2023/2024 Post-UTME/DE Registration to proceed. Applicants are to fill in the relevant information and pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000) only as screening fees through the same screening portal. Direct Entry candidates are expected to upload a scanned copy of their ‘A’ Level results.

Any candidate who fails to REGISTER for the screening exercise will not be eligible for admission into the University.

NOTE: All UTME/DE candidates who were awaiting result(s) as at the time of application are strongly advised to upload their ‘O’ Level Results on the JAMB CAPS, without which such candidate would not be admitted.
