Appointment of a New Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Military) at NAUB

The Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) has announced the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel AY Bello, Ph.D., as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Military), following his selection by the Nigerian Army. He officially assumed duties on 2 December 2025, marking a significant administrative transition within the institution.
Lt Col Bello succeeds Brigadier General JT Aun, who is presently away on course. In his absence, the handover ceremony was conducted by the Acting DVC (Military), Lieutenant Colonel M.M. Danzaki, in the company of the Director of Security, Colonel AA Ude. Notably, Lt Col Bello reported for duty on 1 December 2025, ahead of his formal assumption of office.

Lieutenant Colonel Bello brings to his new position a wealth of professional experience, drawn from a career marked by service in diverse command, instructional, administrative, and strategic roles across the Nigerian Army. His previous appointments include:

In his inaugural remarks, Lt Col AY Bello conveyed profound appreciation to the outgoing Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Military), Brig Gen JT Aun, for the milestones achieved under his leadership. He offered prayers for the General’s continued success and future engagements.
