Lieutenant Colonel Oyono Stephen Job is a senior officer of the Nigerian Army Education Corps and the Acting Registrar of the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB). He assumed duty as Acting Registrar on 21 November 2025 with a distinguished career in military education, strategic leadership, and institutional administration.Born on 26 March 1980 in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, Lt Col Oyono was commissioned into the Nigerian Army on 8 December 2007 through the Direct Regular Commission Course 15.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Calabar and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

He further earned a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; a Master of Arts in Peace and Strategic Studies from the University of Ilorin; and a Master of Leadership and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Lt Col Oyono has attended several professional military and executive development programmes, including the Leadership and Strategic Studies Course in Abuja, Logistics Staff Course in Lagos, and various training courses in systems approach to training and curriculum development. In 2011, he was awarded a full international scholarship by the International Institute of Humanitarian Law, Sanremo, Italy, to participate in the 142nd International Military Course on the Law of Armed Conflict.

His operational experience includes participation in Operation HADIN KAI and United Nations peacekeeping operations in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID). He has held numerous instructional, command, and administrative appointments within the Nigerian Army, including Commandant, CSSS Efa-Etinan; Assistant Director (ICT) at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre; and Acting Registrar of the Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology (NACEST), Makurdi.

Lt Col Oyono is a Fellow of the Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science and Fellow of Leadership and Strategic Studies. He is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria, and Nigerian Army Resource Centre.

He is married to Mrs. Faith Oyono Job and they are blessed with a child. His hobbies include reading and listening to music.
